Leap of Faith

Voted Cardiff's 5th best family attraction by TripAdvisor this year, Boulders is an exhilarating way to spend a few hours. Leave your mobile phone behind for once as you focus every element of your concentration to negotiating your way upwards on the different sections.

Walls are graded at various levels to suit all abilities. With 116 different climbing lines in total, each with three separate routes and the height of walls ranging from 10 to 13 metres, both novice and practised climbers are guaranteed an exciting experience. Some of the lines also have 'slabs' set at various angles to make the ascent even trickier.

With an abundance of ways to challenge yourself to the max, why not try the 'Leap of Faith' for an even greater adrenaline rush? Liz Ayers from Boulders explained what this entails; "We challenge you to take a giant leap off a platform into the air. If you look up from the sign you will see a platform that you jump off. You are attached to a rope and you fall through the air until the rope goes tight.... the 'faith' part of the experience."

Spider Monkeys & Geckos

Even the very youngest children can enjoy the experience at Boulders, with a climbing adventure soft play area for those aged 7 and below. Boulders runs various climbing clubs for children, with beginners starting with Learn to Climb, then progressing through to Spider Monkeys and Geckos. They can also work towards gaining Boulder's badges and National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes (NICAS) levels as they go. For those aged between 14 and 18, the Friday night fun session - The Project - is a great opportunity for teenagers to get active in the sport of climbing whilst making new friends.
