Creating the Perfect Event

With summer finally here and the wedding season well underway, our favourite virtual tour this week is of a business which offers everything a couple needs for a truly memorable marriage celebration.

It was their own marriage ceremony that gave business owners, Tina and Fred, the inspiration for the business. Explained Fred, "Following on from our own wedding, where we did the decorations and design ourselves, we felt there was a place for a service which was more inclusive for couples and one where lots of smaller items and finishing touches could be sourced in one place."

This place is Unique Designs by Tina, a stylish shop tucked just a little back from the bustling main street in the Cornish town of Bodmin. A veritable tardis, it's impossible to tell from the front just how much is inside. The business is an expanse of different showrooms displaying a medley of delightful decorations of the nuptial kind. Flowers, bunting, coloured lampshades, hair accessories, tiaras, corsages, jewellery, stationery, flowers, and plenty of other trimmings are beautifully set out, inviting customers to pick up and feel the abundance of beautiful bridal and other accessories on offer.

Make your way right to the back of the building and you'll find the largest showroom, exquisitely set out with decorated tables and chairs, floral arches, cakes and more. With the ceiling draped in white fabric, it feels very much like being inside a wedding marquee waiting for the bride and groom to arrive any minute.

Attention to Detail

Nothing is left to the imagination at Unique Designs. With so much to look at, brides and grooms-to-be can put together plenty of ideas of how they'd like their own wedding reception to look. If they've already got something specific in mind, Tina and Fred will tailor the theme, colours and decorations to meet their own special design.

With their expertise and attention to detail, the couple take care of everything needed for a wonderful venue, including delivery, set-up and styling. Along with weddings, they also arrange other events, such as the ordinary hotel room they recently turned into an eye-catching, glamorous black and white setting for a school prom.
