Deli-icious
If you enjoy great food, aromatic coffee, beautiful gifts, contemporary home-wares, art, and a dash of history, then pay a visit to this week's favourite
virtual tour. In the picturesque Cotswold village of Broadway in Worcestershire, you'll find Broadway Deli - a beautiful 17th Century building full of all
these things and more.
Outside the shop, kaleidoscopic splashes of colour radiate from the array of fresh fruit and veg spilling over the many barrels and baskets. With their
bright reds, greens and yellows standing out from the row of ancient honey-hued stone buildings which line the main street, it's a view that draws the eye and draws
you in.
World's Biggest Larder
In keeping with the history of this amazing old building, there's a wonderful old-fashioned feel throughout Broadway Deli. Originally a vicarage, the place
is bursting with traditional character. A fabulous fusion of striking beamed ceilings, leaded windows and timber floors, the myriad of rooms inside are
filled to the brim with a mouth-watering mix of fabulous food and other gorgeous goods.

Along with the character, the shelves are bursting too. It's like being inside the world's biggest larder, where you can find just about every kind
of delicious food imaginable, as well as plenty you've probably never come across before.
With goods coming from local suppliers wherever possible, the deli has regular deliveries from Paris of speciality treats such as fresh chestnuts, purple
cauliflowers, heritage carrots and Romanesco broccoli.
Lounge Around
A vintage wooden staircase entices you to the first floor; each step displaying a sign advertising details of the goods you'll find when you get there. Wander up and down
the different levels on this floor to explore many more charming rooms full of preserves, oils, sweets and gifts.
You'll also find one of the most inviting lounge spaces ever, full of squashy leather sofas, throws, rugs and coffee tables. And there's a cafe with huge
bay window offering up a stunning view of the garden below.
Even the bathroom is well worth a visit, with its black and white Victorian-style floor and flora-filled bathtub.
Round & Round the Garden
And back to the garden - don't miss it. A sublime space, it would be a crime to visit Broadway Deli without stepping outside to admire the carefully tended
long lawns, stone walls, flower beds, and giant, sculpted Yew tree bushes.

Take a virtual trip through the hedges and along the path to
the end where you can look back and admire the building once more.
