Eat & Drink Until the Cows Come Home
Nestled snugly in a cobbled side street of whitewashed stone buildings, just a pebble's throw from Brixham's beautiful harbour, is where you'll find the newly opened Cow Shed bar and grill.
With a light and fresh interior, along with quirky cow-themed furnishings and welcoming hosts, it's an inviting and charismatic restaurant serving a range of delicious drinks and meats.
Specialising in exotic steaks, burgers, venison, ostrich, kangaroo, camel and ribs, and with a burger menu which encompasses a rotation of over 40 different and mouth-watering variations, you'll not leave hungry after a visit to The Cow Shed.
Brighton to Brixham
With previous experience running a pub and Italian restaurant, owners Paul and Jill fell in love with Brixham and relocated from Brighton to open the new business in February this year.
Extensive refurbishment work has brightened up the spacious venue, with the addition of some funky furnishings to give it a fun, bovine-themed personality of its own. You know you've arrived at the right place when you come face to face with the large black cow's head logo painted onto the white stone wall opposite the front door.
Once inside, a long bar area awaits those who may just want to stop for a drink. Gin lovers are sure to enjoy working their way through the numerous varieties of this popular tipple which are on offer at The Cow Shed.
There's also room to eat here, for diners who want to stay amongst the social buzz of the bar. Window seats with comfy cow patterned cushions offer a space in which to sit, eat and people-watch passers-by in the alleyway outside.
Dine by the Fire
In the room beyond is the dining area, complete with log burning fire to offer extra warmth on temperature challenged evenings.
With less natural light in this space, the pale painted walls, sprinkling of ceiling spotlights and large wall mirror keep the atmosphere clean and light, while still remaining cosy and intimate. Splashes of soft colour come from the shabby-chic style blue, green and pink chairs complementing the warm browns of the wooden floor, and an aqua shimmer from the illuminated fish tank next to the bar catches the eye.
With a feast of a menu, constantly updated with impressively-titled meaty new additions like 'The Butcher', 'Big Daddy', 'Firecracker and 'Perfect Storm', The Cow Shed is the perfect place to eat and drink in comfort while you enjoy a warm and hearty Devonshire welcome.
